Phu Quoc is a small island located in the south west part of Vietnam. Locals are producing one of the most if not the most famous pepper in the world. Having tried it, I would say that it’s actualy quite tasty. There are plenty of pepper culture that you can visit ; some even include a local beer production which are quite tasty. Seafood restaurant and market are amongst the top attractions here.
I have heard about Phu Quoc as a paradisiac island. I would definitetly agree with this statement if you are looking for a relaxing break and planning to stay at a resort: fancy hotels, dreamy swimming pools, nice beaches and cheap massages.
That being said, there is not much else to do on the island. I have driven a motorbike through the whole island and not everything is as nice as it is close to the resorts. If you are looking for some trekking, sightseeing or wild traveling you might look somewhere else. Round trip flights are not worth it unless booked in advance.
