Luang Prabang is a small city in Northern Laos. It is noted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a couple of temples and landscape sceneries to explore. While I have been warned that Laos was more expensive than its neighborhood countries, I did not expect such a big gap! Expect everything to be 1.5x or even 2x more expensive than in Thailand.
Mount Phou Si is a great spot to enjoy a sunset but be aware that you are not going to be the only one with such idea. Kuang Si falls are located at about 30kms far from Luang Prabang. This is a group of turquoise pools leading to the highest waterfall in the area. The scenery takes place in a tropical rain forest which add a mesmerizing mood to the place!
Both the night market and morning market are enjoyable experiences. The first one is dedicated to tourists while the second one is mainly oriented for locals. Laos food is super tasty. It is not that hard to find cheap eats but you will have to get out from the main street.
