For anyone interested in business strategy, Singapore is a fascinating country. It got its independence back in 1965 thanks to Lee Kuan Yew. Lee Kuan Yew lead Singapore as its prime minister for 3 decades. He has successfully managed to grow Singapore from one of the least developed county in Asia to a world-leading country in as little as 50 years.

Cutting down unemployment rate from 14.5% to less than 2.1% in a half-century, Singapore is constantly breaking records in business, education, health, science, technology, safety and so on. The main reason of Singapore’s success is that its corruption-free government constantly aims to fully support business and entrepreneurship initiatives. Meritocracy, creativity and innovation act as core values of Singapore Government’s leadership. While individual freedom and social support are often discussed when talking about Singapore, none can deny its futuristic vision, its ability to improve people’s living standards and more importantly its corruption-free government! Singapore is a true inspiration to the world!

Travel-wise, there are a few things to see in Singapore such as the Chinatown district, the Marina bay, the Gardens by the bay, the Clarke quay, the Orchard road, the Raffles district, the Sentosa district, the Little india district and the Arab streets, the Fort Canning park and the Henderson Waves Bridge.

While Singapore is one of the most expensive countries in the world, you can always lower down your costs by sticking to cheap hostels, using couchsurfing and eating at street food restaurants.
